Press Tour Day Eleven I'll give it to you straight. I like all of the CW shows. Aliens in America made me laugh. The Reaper almost made me pee my pants I laughed so hard. Gossip Girls is a total guilty pleasure and Life in the Wild is so beautiful. It's about a family who moves to South Africa, and they really are filming there. But I didn't go to the CW party tonight. It was a cool one, I saw pics. I went out with some buds, and we went places, well, that are out of the norm for me. But I gotta tell you I had a blast. I learned a lot. I consider it research. ;-) And saw things, well, that I'm still trying to figure out. I'll leave it at that. :-)
Tomorrow is the TCA Awards. I'm presenting an award tomorrow night, and it's a huge honor. I'm nervous and excited. More excited than anything. And I get to wear my pretty dress. The thing I'm most nervous about is climbing down the stairs after presenting.
I wish I could tell you how crazy it's been the last few days. I'm zonker tired, but I still can't get to sleep at night. Maybe after tomorrow I'll settle down.
Okay, so today's question... How many of have bought or will buy Harry Potter? If you know where I can get an audio download, Itunes or whatever, let me know.
Happy weekend!

I wonder how the terrain in South Africa compares to the terrain in Kenya (I'm working on a book set primarily there)....
I pre-ordered The Deathly Hallows, but the post office did not condescend to deliver it today despite its being shipped four days ago. The bastards. So I've got to avoid spoilers for the next few days. *sigh*
We need milk, so the baby and I (we're home alone this week) might go to Target and see if they have it tonight. I think I'll go on "internet and tv blackout" until I get it and read it though!
My son and his friends talked me into going to B&N last night. They made the rounds of the games and absorbed to excitement of the crowd. They wore me out. We got a ticket to stand in the line that literally wrapped around the NRH store, but they said it would take two hours or more to get through it. Never mind! We decided to head to Wal-Mart instead, but on the way remembered that Kroger was selling them at 12:01am. So, we stopped and were able to pick up our copies and were out of the store by 12:10am. Sure beat a 2 hour wait.
DD bought it at a midnight party. I read it yesterday and LOVED it. I guess I'll go ahead and watch a couple CW shows even though I swore I wouldn't after they canceled Veronica Mars. :-) I haven't seen an audio download of HP yet. It's not on iTunes today.
finished Harry. Personally, I felt a lot was left unanswered. Like what happened to Nevil or Luna or Moaning Myrtle? I mean it is all well and good that Harry got his happily ever after but there are others I would have liked to know about (Remember this for your own books;) often people really end up caring about the side characters. Like in your books if you ended the series without letting us know what happened to the prim ministers aide I would be disappointed. that is how I felt with Harry... What happened to Luna... a personal favorite... or Hagrid? Also, how did Nevil end up with that sword? lots of questions... I probably need to read it again but I think I liked the half blood prince better. I will read it again and hopefully be more satisfied. I must say that I loved the part that showed Snapes character. I always believed he was good despite what my friends said, and I loved that he was not only good but almost saintly. He is a sad man if I could I would have made his life better but he is only a character.... Still I think I have a few Snapes in my life... I also like that they took Dumbledorf down a peg from God status.... it was needed. I love Harry and Co but I like your books and the Dark Hunter's better. I am a sick puppy I know but something about a werewolf gets me hot. |
